I participated in a project on behalf of a lucid dreaming community where I spent a year and a half with two people who claimed to be shared lucid dreamers.
It was partly for fun, to make a friend or two, and to keep motivated for dreaming. Each night we'd arrange attempts to share dream.
In the year, there was one occasion where the other person (from the US) managed to record, in detail, a dream I had before I had posted it. Since there is no scientific proof or understanding to prove this, even I take it with a grain of salt despite having had the experience and having virtually no explanation for how it worked.
It was only once during the whole year of attempts. If it is real, its not consistent enough to be much use imo.
Also once, one of my parents told me their dream they had which was identical to a dream I had, except they had dreamed from a different character / perspective. That character had engaged with me in the dream. We both recalled accurate details, it was strange.
I think its very interesting anyhow.
