Author Topic: New Gaming Computer  (Read 3918 times)

My computer has broken sadly and now im stuck with a stuffty laptop that struggles
to run minecraft and sometimes happy wheels.
Ill be getting the computer at christmas so I know this is abit early but my budget
is around £600 - £1000, I reckon ill be able to nag my parents enough to get more
cash if I need to.

Ive been looking at the new Alienware x51 which I like the look of but it sounds
like there trying to glorify how easy it is to update your components or something
like that which im not too fussed about.
So id like someone to give me some suggestions on what computer to get.

ha alienware
Go to the computer megathread, someone will find you much better stuff than Alienware for your budget.

OR just buy a mac since they handle pretty well for games.

I think so anyway.

Mac?

Games?

HA

Yeah buy an Apple computer, my Macbook Pro handles Blockland and Minecraft no problem. The idea that they don't handle games is outdated and naive.

You sir deserve a bitchslap.

It's not that they don't handle games, but there are not many games on SteamPlay / Multi-Platform compatbile that work for Mac.

Macs may be able to come with decent hardware, however it will be twice the price of a normal pc. So its a pretty awful idea

Gosh the $700 is worth it, just look how loving ugly it is!

Hmm, I'll post some good parts. brb gotta find the names

I have an Alienware. I ended up just ended up buying better parts for it and using the case. I love the case, it has a lot of room in it. I'm not happy with the amount of drives it can hold which is 4. My other case can hold 10 hard drives so I thought about swapping up the cases so I can have more hard drives.  I already have 3TB of space but I have over 1TB is steam games alone, plus I want to run Windows on a SSD.

You shouldn't get an alienware, You also don't need to build it yourself. Check out a few places that build pc's based on parts you pick, The price wouldn't be bad.
