I feel the new method is more intuitive as the particles are being emitted by the brick and you can get a greater variety of effects by attaching the same emitter to different bricks.  If you want point emitters you can use a 1x1.

Or you can just do this:

<emitter>.setScale("0.01 0.01 0.01");

my quote is better, lol.

Hmm... which is easier?
A) Modding the emmitter with the console, which requires mission editor (for the id of the emmitter) and a bit of coding which the average BL player wouldn't know how to do.

B) Making a 1x1 or a 1x1F, and wrenching the emmitter onto it.

I vote B. :cookieMonster:

It makes perfect sense, and I think its fine.

I suppose you could make a GUI to do it.

I'm not suggesting that you just do it using the console.  A checkbox in the wrench GUI would be better, to toggle whether the emitter appears the way we're used to it or the new way.  I personally don't care whether people choose to use the new emitters style or not, I just wanted people to know it's possible to have it the old way.

As for the mission editor, umm no.

A much better way:

%brick = %client.wrenchBrick;
%brick.emitter.setScale("0.01 0.01 0.01");

I like the new system-1 brick pointer is better.

Edit:OMG EDIT! NO ONE MISUSE IT LIKE THIS!

How are you guys making the particles do that?

Indeed, the lack of ! is annoying.

v8 supports unlimited arguments to the /commands so any former !command can easily be rewritten.
