watch it just be a helmet with stuffty 2008 graphics.

Sigh.

Crap resolution and FOV is still loving 90 degrees.

I don't have much of a problem with that res.

Doesn't matter. Anything can fail with such high expectations.
but the rift has a much smaller margin for failure
thus, it does matter

pretty sure that res isn't for the entire 90 degrees, it's for each frame of view within the 90

I'm pretty sure it is. 640 pixels wide and 800 pixels tall per eye. Combine those two and you get 1280x800 resolution for both eyes combined.

Hopefully this paves the way for a real-world .//hack type game.
Baby steps people, at least it's better than the VB!

I have mixed feelings about this.
It looks loving awesome and I want it right now.
However, is it going to be for consoles?
I suppose I wouldn't have a problem with it being PC-exclusive if my toaster could run anything.
But if it were on consoles, that'd be awesome.
Hmm.
Is it going to usher in a new generation for gaming?
Or is it going to be just another gimmick like the touch screen?
I believe the touch screen's gonna die out in about 10 years.
Jesus, I don't know. Only time will tell.

Sigh.Crap resolution and FOV is still loving 90 degrees.
90 degrees? What the loving flying forget?

forget these stuffty goggles. Why does everyone think 90 degrees is the special number? 100-120 is the best.

GABE NEWELL LOOKS LIKE HE IS loving 70 YEARS OLD

In my opinion 90 is perfect balance between a wide view and minimal distortion. But it sure as hell is not an "incredibly wide field of view".

We would just have to see this in action, see if they actually manage to make it good.

Wait 90?
Oh well, at least it isn't 75.
Motion sickness is a bitch.

Like I said guys, baby steps and at least it's a better show of VR-Gaming than the VB was

Too bad I wont NOBODY IN THIS TOPIC be able to afford it :c
