Author Topic: ATVs are heavy  (Read 1795 times)

Well I officially had my first crash on my ATV today. I was out riding when I stopped on a hill. The second I stopped I felt it tipping to its side. I tried jumping off it but it ended up flipping, rolling on top of me once, then continuing to roll 2-3 more times down the hill.

I took a picture standing at the spot where the quad began tipping to where it ended up to give you guys an idea of how far it rolled. This was taken right after the accident and the quad wasn't moved from its spot. (It's hard to tell how steep the hill is from the picture)

As far as I can tell the only damage the quad has is the rear plastics are damaged and the bars supporting them are bent. So It looks like I have some repair work to do.

Surprisingly getting rolled over by a quad wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The only injuries I seem to have are cuts and bruises on my knees. Other then That I feel fine. Although I don't plan on doing it again...

Don't you crash cars and ATVs all day, everyday?

there isn't one thing you can find that destroyer can't crash

Were you wearing a helmet?

I wouldn't get in his car, not even if he had candy.

Thankfully yes I was. I always do when I ride.

Oh definitely not my car, I take care of my car. If it even has a scratch it bothers me lol.

Try crawling away from a rolling quad down a sanddune.

Fun fact: A kid died after he crashed our used ATV.

there's something hilarious about his name being "destroyer"

I've had 3 ATV accidents so far. First one was when I was like 8 or something, hit a rut on the trail and flipped a 600(i think) polaris sportsman and it landed on my leg. No major injuries but I spent the next few hours in the hospital. Second one was a simple flip over because I lost my speed going up a steep hill. The last and latest(still a couple years ago) the brakes on my ATV were out and I didn't know it, tried turning a corner at around 25 mph and couldn't, ended up going into a hole that was right there past the turn. Got the wind knocked out of me, if I didn't have my helmet on I probably would have gotten a concussion from hitting the dirt in front of me. I was just fine though, but I had to get a new phone as the hole was full of water :(

someone needs to invite a helmet with a spine brace attached.

My friend drove my ATV straight off a small cliff-like thing. He was fine but my ATV is dead :(

If you die can me and Random have your tank?
