Your server will not talk to the JS Server until you type in /jeepserverKey ServerIDHere - So, when you start your server, make sure you type that in, or you're server wont close (until you enter it). No, it isn't setKey at all. It verifies with Jeepserver that you are the host and enables actions through remote services.
