Author Topic: Mount and Blade indecisiveness.  (Read 4086 times)

I just want your guys' opinion.

In Mount And Blade: Warband, I'm part of the Kingdom of Nords. We own pretty much half of the entire map. I was thinking of removing myself from the Nords and joining another faction to try to lead them to their fall.

Being the major superpower hasn't really been very interesting. We are the strongest empire at the moment and I'm sure it will only worsen unless I try to curb them.

What are your opinions? I don't want to lose all of my Nordic relations and friendships, but it's come time to reduce their power, I think.

The Nords are barbarians and scoundrels.

Join the Rhodoks. :D

Nords/Swadians > everything

Yeah I'm having the same problem, even though we don't own half the map we own a lot of fiefs and at war(have peace treaties with a couple, but still) with every other nation. I own like 3 villages and I own curaw, which I took myself without the aid of any others. I'm making like 15k denars every week and every faction is trying to kill us/my first village I got, ruvar. I am contemplating helping that one dude that says he should be rightful king but my relationship with king ragnar is at like 74 and I don't want to ruin it :(

Khergits > All
Khergit horses fall quickly under the axes of my nord huscarls.

You should probably just try and form your own kingdom, assuming you have the right to rule points or whatever

see if you can rally your nordic friends to join up under your banner

How do you do that? nvm

I'll have to go with the Nords on this one.
Definitely not the Vaegirs; they're the bane of my existence and I reveled in squashing them under the boot of my hilariously broken character.

khergits are essentially invincible in field battles. unless you have a full army of like swadian knights or something, your pretty much screwed.

uhhh no
I've won battles with around 45 nord huscarls and around 40 veteran archers vs 150+ horsemen and I won with only like 8 casualties

With my nord army, I crush the khergits with little to no casualties.

But I was thinking of joining the Swadians or something. I want the Sarranids dead and gone. I don't have really any interest in the Rhodoks, Khergits are only useful for their lancers, and the Vaegirs.. eh.

I want to wait a while before my own empire, once I have more renown and RTR (If i remember correctly I have around 50, plus opportunity to marry, except all M&B ladies are ugly as forget). Plus I might also want to make more friends before I start.

EDIT: And if I start my own empire now, I have the massive Nord empire to worry about.
