New spotlight light things! floodlights? THINGS! old ones died and burned bacon

we used to have these kind of lights, or whatever they were. they were pretty cool and I want new ones, or at least something similar. Hopefully some people will remember these things and maybe help explain if you don't get it.
apparently they're called floodlights. or spotlights. or both. you know in the movies they have them on the prison walls and towers.




OK so the thing is that I don't really need some emitter beam... I just want a light that moves about as if it came from a beam or somesuch... the already existing blinking lights are just irritating and I want something more intelligent

If your at a far enough distance and not looking at the center of the player, yes the light doesnt show because you do not have the bounding box in sight.
