Author Topic: Event - SetPlayerAim  (Read 1149 times)

Wouldn't it be awesome if we could use events to make a person's camera look at a certain brick or direction?

Like, if someone made a scary face print and people jut look away, use this event and they have to look at it.

(hurr hurr)

whaddya think?

Quite of a good Idea. Could need it for certain things like for stories if you exactly need your character to look at something. I like it  :cookieMonster:

It's possible to set horizontal rotation AKA yaw. It's not possible, on the server's side at least, to set vertical rotation AKA pitch. So this is half possible but it falls under the "Won't Work Prettily" category.

i need this...

I know this isn't what you want but you can maybe try to do something with camera and going out of it. It's all I can think you can do IF the player aim wont work.

also what if the was a SetAimatBrick>[insert Brick name]?

I gave all input I can think that might help you.

If setPlayerTransform can do it then its possible.

Again, it's possible for yaw, not pitch.

We'd just it for yaw. We don't need pitch.

If you're going to be looking down or up at a target then this won't work, remember.

I've done little to no experimentation with this with VCE but does anyone know if variable replacers, such as <var:pl:pitch> can be edited?  I know nodes like <var:cl:chest> can be edited, but im not sure about valued variable replacers, like     ^  can be edted.

Is it possible that we could make where the crosshair is a player - like object that would setransform to another brick to make your character look at it?

That was probably a bunch of crap, lol

but is it possible to change the pitch if you're looking at an entity?
