Author Topic: My opinions on Call of Duty.  (Read 2288 times)

I legitimately enjoyed COD5, 4, and 1-2 including UO.

I simply don't enjoy going onto a game and having 15 5-year-olds screaming "OH HURR I SCREWD UR MOM LAS NIGHT LOLOLOL". That kind of thing just isn't appealing to me.

Too bad CoD gamers are too dumb to care about anything but multiplayer.
what
the only reason i buy CoD is for the campaign

black ops 2 looks like stuff. and no its not original.

I enjoy CoD.  It is just flat out fun.  Nothing like getting 5 or so friends in an Xbox Live party, playing search, then switching over to a private match to play some Cops and Robbers.  I wont be buying BO2 because frankly I haven't enjoyed CoD enough to buy it full price sine MW2  I may only buy CoD:Declassified this year but maybe later I'll pick up BO2.

I do hate a good portion of the community though.  I don't know what I get more annoyed buy, the people who hate CoD like it killed their first child, or all the annoying squeaky kids on CoD.  It was the first one, but after playing MW3 I think it is a tossup now.

BUT YOU CAN CHOOSE TO EITHER KEEP OVERWATCH OR FIGHT ON THE GROUND!!!!!

lol god that got sickening. they impressed themselves on that point so hard

BO2 is introducing a dynamic campaign where missions are never failed, the outcome just changes the storyline.

COD= Children's Online Daycare

But really, I just play COD for the zombies and campaign.

I just play it with my friends when they come over.

Not really into anything else, if anything it's a good arcade game by my standards.

Call of Duty is really the most successful gaming franchise of all time, but I just don't think It's that great. They just use the same mechanics for each game but with some small adjustments and a new title. Plus, it's probably too brown and manly for me or something, but when Black Ops 2 was announced I was interested. At least Treyarch are actually doing something original with their franchise; But I still wasn't going to buy it.
But then, when Black Ops: Declassified was announced, I was very interested. Something appeals to me about being able to play an FPS on a portable device (PS VITA if you were wondering). The technology can certainly handle it, so It won't just be some stuffty port like the Cod DS games.
What do you think?
SHUT UP
SHUT THE forget UP RIGHT NOW
Every game has huge changes and improvements. But no, people only notice how you can still aim and there are guns, so they just say it's the same. The combat system has had only a few changes, but why change what isn't broken? If people got what they wanted, the next game would be about chasing rabbits through waterfalls for 6 hours, and there would be no multiplayer.

if it isn't broken why did they have to make three loving games instead of one game and a few expansion packs.

I think Call of Duty 3's multiplayer is my favorite. No perk or killstreak or gun attachment or quickscope bullstuff. The class system is fun, and nobody complains how one class is better than another. You can be good in any of them. And for the most part for me, teammates in-game are helpful and actually cooperate.

The only thing I dislike is the numerous wall glitches, and the fact that it isn't all that popular. I also really like the server list system as well.

I loved cod 3.
Also vehicles.

It would make no sense to have a game about WWII and then suddenly its Modern Warfare. They each have a theme:
MW2: Present day
BO: Cold War
MW3: Somewhere in the near future
BO2: Far into the future
I have no clue how they would make another one however.
