NO WTF...

I want to loving rebuild the place, not level the place and all the civillians inside.

Do you want to get to the vault or not?

To make an omelet, you need to break a few eggs.

What I'm trying to do is clear a nice space for some orbital laser strikes to you know, cut a way in so we can pump in tear gas and start shooting in. We can either endure a long offensive in a bunch of tunnels or we can start breaking eggs and end this with minimal deaths on the part of our soldiers.

I take it you aren't a Truman fan.

Holy stuff Pleth the people in the tunnels would rather establish a government they aren't loving anarchists.

Production of mechs equipped with nonlethal PEP cannons are built, more troops armed with the new Nanoarmor and PEP guns are trained further, railguns for busting walls and people are mounted on tanks and mechs.
Current strike force consists of 100,000 infantry units, 35,000 mechs, and 90,000 tanks, as well as 250,000 spiders, equipped with PEP guns.

Holy stuff Pleth the people in the tunnels would rather establish a government they aren't loving anarchists.
And that's exactly what I aim for, except I want to have the people elect from the surviving populous, which Telar is ruthlessly killing.

Shock and awe.

I maintain the omelet aphorism.

You can shock and awe by using weapons that instantly knock people off their feet and cause 3m EMPs.

Surrender is still a viable option for the tunnel dwellers.

Surrender will end all of this.

My mechs will not shoot at a white flag.
Unless it's clearly a trap.

Silly Everything.

I think the citizens of manhattan would like their own government, and the way they used to run it. That's why UCSC should go ahead and help them form the government after you rebuild. Pleth, I would be glad to kick your ass with H-600's if you don't sop killing the population and destroying the rebuild.

PHMA Vote:

1)  Destroy NM
2)  Re-initialize a new Republic government that is pro-PHMA.

Pick one.

I'd rather let them try to govern themselves.
And if they don't we push them in the right direction.
And if they do and then try to kill us we wipe the off the face of the earth and continue with our lives.

Hey :c

You ignored me, I will take care of the Government.

Hey.

I was going in to rebuild and Telar's railguns tore it all up.  I was already started on repairing stuff.

Also, in other news, metal from the surrounding wall is salvedged, and the amount of iron collected is enough to fill the Vålderesk Facility a total of 180 times.

The iron is currently being stored in a PHMA facility and is currently being used in the construction of buildings in NM.  The iron may only be used for reconstruction, and when reconstruction is complete, it will be given over to the new NM to build what they want.

Also, for all those in favor of re-establishing New Manhattan, naming it "New New Manhattan" would be dumb.  I vote that it should be named "New Providence."

No.

I rather call it United New Manhattan.

Okaaay...

What are you uniting here?

There's no provincial government that could be added.  There's a massive city and a farmland area with less population combined than in the entire main city.  A provincially-focussed government won't be feasible, therefore the name "united" won't fit because even if each province is divided, each part wouldn't be able to have the same ideals.  Each voting district needs to be divided, yet, it needs to be united under a unitary government system.

As for the unitary government failure in New Manhattan's past, the easiest and probably best way to unite them is through a confederacy.

Confederacy of Providence
Confederacy of Manhattan
Confederacy of New Manhattan

All fitting and formidable names.
