Author Topic: Just bought Fallout 2  (Read 708 times)

Basically, I just got this game and I beat the third one. Although I've never touched this game in my life. Should I expect a lot from it?

no. If you played the new fallouts the old ones aren't as fun IMO.

Completely different playstyle compared to the new Fallout games.

I just played this game and this was surprisingly fun.

its more about what kind of games you like, fallout 3 isn't a newer improved version of the game, its pretty much a completely different game with different mechanics and overall gameplay.

I bought the complete collection a few days ago when it went on sale and I'm having fun with it.  Different compared to the new ones, but still very enjoyable

Fallout 3 has less in terms of gameplay than Fallout1 & 2. Can you blow down a door in Fallout3? Nope, enjoy being forced to raise your lockpick skill.

Fallout 2 is a top down RPG with turn based combat.

Fallout 3 is somewhat a 50/50 mix of an RPG and a shooter - lacking parts of both and just being a medicore mixture of it. Atleast it feels like that for me :/.

I loved all of the little details in F2. What it lacks from the new games is made up in ridiculousness (the good kind) fun, and tons of little details you don't find in the new Fallouts.

I have the first one
I'm horrible at it and I barely know how to play
