Except heavy pocketing as a QFM is a one-way rail to a weak heavy and also death

The quick fix is hardly pocket material, and its uber is really, really stuff in direct combat when compared to the other three ubers available. Doesn't mean you can't kick ass with it.
It's the best at managing a larger team of hurt players, and the uber is pretty much there for when you, the medic, gets hurt (because you share the same insane heal rate of the quick fix's uber, but only when healing someone), or the normal healing rate just doesn't cut it and you need to churn out health to a lot of players faster. For instance, you got a handful of enemies headed your way, and you have two near-dead heavies, a soldier at half health, a demoman 3/4 full, and you're pretty close to dying yourself. The normal heal rate won't save you, so pop that uber to get all four of them ready for the incoming PAIN and ROCKETS and VARIOUS BODY FLUIDS flying at them. During the actual fighting, you don't latch onto any of them, keep all four of them healed as best you can.
Not only that, but it lets you rocket jump and run as fast as a motherloving scout. I mean, who HASN'T played medic and wanted to soar through the air or
roll around at the speed of sound run like the local spastic, radiation-drinking scout? The rocket jump is pretty useless without proper timing, cuz if you're on the ground when that soldier or demo flies into the air, you're gonna be going every which way and take some falling damage without really getting anywhere. At least, that's how I've experienced it. The scout-speed medic is still great, but, of course, you'll need to be healing a scout to have it. It's great for getting to the front lines faster when there are no engies with teleporters up, though.
Pair this healing GOD with the medieval medic weapons to heal loving EVERYONE. Your healing will know no bounds. (except overhealing but if your team DOESN'T suck and can function without pocket medics, you're in the clear anyway)
Okay okay I'm done defending less-popular weapons.
