An optional, prerelease update. They said awhile back that they'd start doing these.

Updates are available for the “prerelease” betas of TF2, CS:S, DoD:S, and HL2:MP.
 
The update does not change the PatchVersion and will not be mandatory for servers.
 
For CS:S, DoD:S, and HL2:MP, this syncs the engine with the latest TF2 release.  Here are the github issues addressed by this build:

I don't use it because it makes me feel dirty. People complain about W+M1 all the time but if you ask me, Degreaser + Axetinguisher is worse.

My only exception is if there are a lot of Heavies on the other team, then I'll equip it only to deal with them.

My favorite way to use pyro is using m2+reserve. I've got a gore-splattered reserve shooter and my degreaser has only 26 kills.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Nobody uses their Flamethrower anymore for anything except airblast or to ignite people before switching weapons because of all the absurd high-damage/instant-kill combos the Pyro has been given. It's dumb.

The sad part is that if you don't take part in it, you're now giving yourself a crutch.

I never understood what the Fire Axe was for, it's a close range weapon....so is your flamethrower....and your Shotgun...
