since it appears freeze got some sense in his head, let's continue discussion:

does anyone actually trust backpack.tf for accurate prices?
Keys are totally 5 ref these days.

The Flare Gun is EASILY able to destroy Heavies, I've done it countless times, at the very least it forces them to retreat.
really? i've hardly ever been killed by a flare gun as heavy, since you'd need to hit him 3 - 4 times to kill from full hp
maybe it's just me there :P

i also assume we were saying engi's include their sentries

that's because it isn't. you keep saying it performs better and everything when, in reality, it doesn't
it does

for example: let's look at the damage charts of both weapons! ambassador
default

not only does the default outclass the amby in all categories, the only thing the amby has above it is its spread recovery. even still, what would it matter? you aren't meant to be mashing the revolver anyway, so the default is, in fact, greater than the amby
really because i could have sworn that an always 102 damage shot from any range at a rate of 0.95 shots per second is better than a base damage of 40 damage per 0.58 seconds, this also means the ambassador does more damage over time especially if you include the first shot
so unless you're standing literally right next to them (which you won't be because the second someone sees you they will be getting away from you, and if they weren't looking you'd just backstab them) the ambassador is always better, and even if someone stood still right next to you, even then you'd only get an extra 9 damage

since it appears freeze got some sense in his head, let's continue discussion:
sorry for not being on this topic 24/7

also: I'm not getting out of anything, if anyone is, it's you.
then don't post things irrelevant :P
what argument didn't i respond to? i'll do it now

If you have good aim, the amby's better. If you want to spam then go stock.

Either way you shouldn't be running around with the primary out, its either a finisher or an escape plan.

freeze, I've moved on from this pointless debate
the ambassador is a newbie spy's crutch because they haven't the skill to use a decent weapon
end of story.

that was my whole point
freeze is obviously blind in one eye so he only reads half my posts at a time

the amby is not meant for direct use (eg sitting in a window and sniping, chasing down someone and spamming for headshots)

i ignored it because that argument is the exact same for both
why can't you use the amby in direct use? because it's harder to hit headshots during closer combat? oh wait that's why revolver is a crutch

lol
so what you're saying there is is that you're trying to back out of it because there's no facts about your argument to back it up :P

totally not like I gave you damage charts or anything, lol

listen freeze, if you wanna act smug and be a little kid, go ahead

I'm not gonna let you bog down this thread
if you wanna continue this, pm me or something

I personally think that the ambassador is more some sort of assassination / long range picking weapon but I would never call it a "straight upgrade" of the default revolver. The ambassador is far better for longer ranges but only if you can hit headshots constantly which I find difficult especially without some sort of zoom like the sniper rifle has.
Plus it's a bad panic / escape plan weapon since you barely have any time to make accurate shots while running away unless you are one of these spies that crouch jumps undisguised infront of people , trying to headshot everyone while constantly using the dead ringer.

Or unless you are some super elite pro sniper who constantly gets those headies at any range which would explain why you think it's a straight upgrade of the default revolver. That doesn't mean that you are right though.

On the topic of ambassadors, I find it awesome how around Christmas I was planning to get a Strange Ambassdor and uncrated a Strange Festive Ambassador on my 2nd key.

it's an open discussion, i'd rather have other people be able to chime in if they want

it's what the thread's for, discussing tf2 and its items :D

ill agree with that
stock is better if you're a worse player and don't consistently hit headshots, which is what makes it a crutch
im not saying i consistently hit headshots, im just saying stock is a crutch and is worse if you're a better player

I knew you'd say something similar to this

you simply want the attention of this debate, lmao

grow up freeze

That's incredibly inconsiderate, people may come here to discuss TF2, I for one don't come here to look for an ongoing and pointless argument over something that's all about preference anyways.

I'm starting to agree with this, it's not even about the debate anymore, because if it was then you'd be willing to not clutter up this thread for no reason.

I for one can say that I don't come to this thread to read about a class I never use's slot I never use when i do use him.

well if you guys feel that way, ill stop posting about it then after this post
but honestly i feel its childish to not admit you're wrong when you are

i'll leave it with this: a chart of damage over time of the two for the first four seconds since that's the time i'd say an average revolver battle lasts between spy and any other class. this is assuming you're average distance away (about the distance you'd be if you fail stabbed someone and needed to finish them off but they tried to get away before shooting) and the person with the amby is consistently hitting headshots (which was a basis of the argument, i only said it's better if you're a great player and are consistently hitting headshots, which means that the stock is for people who aren't as good and can't hit headshots and thus a crutch by the definition of the word)

Red is ambassador
Green is stock

EDIT: just realized i forgot the first shot, oh well, it would just look like more of the same if not furthering the case of the amby :P

What do you guys think of my scout?

pretty nice, i'd personally swap the boom bringer for a purple fast learner or track terrorizer but that's just me
