The strictly vertical knockback will make it a pain in the ass to rocket jump though, as no matter the angle you'll go straight up.

That's why I put this:

All knockback on enemies is strictly vertical

what if, regardless of where the target was actually hit (or who the target WAS for that matter), they were sent at the same angle into the air

this angle- while good for keeping foes off the ground- is only sort of useful for rocket jumping

in addition, tune that fire rate subtraction up to -50%. the soldier becomes more of a team player, since his rockets are fast and he still has full mag capacity and can set up for plenty of kills very quickly but isn't able to directly combat more then a single enemy due to his reliance on his shotgun to do damage fast enough to kill enemies before they can kill him

especially since it only has 3 rounds

I was actually basing the stats off of the vanilla rocket launcher.

And the "only sort of useful for rocket jumping" kind of forgets with the Market Gardener, doesn't it?

It'd be like if "Wearer takes no fall damage" was added to the Disciplinary Action so you couldn't use the Mantreads' goomba stomp with it

only sort of useful doesn't mean 'completely useless'

also just because weapons are introduced in a set doesn't mean they can only ever be used with the set

i mean it's not like the market gardener is better with the rocket jumper or anything

I know, I know.

Don't get me wrong, I really like your idea, it's just that I feel that items in a set, mostly when there's an unlock in each weapon slot, should have some synergy with each other, and the Liberty Launcher is in need of a rework.

(Not all the stuff he has)

It's like everybody developed sudden blindness or something while reading that

It's like everybody developed sudden blindness or something while reading that
but the thing is, if he had to show one page of his backpack it'd probably be the best page
and that page isn't that good so uh

What if there was a rocket launcher that pulled enemies at the angle the rocket hit them at
