So valve is a-ok with a bunch of cosmetics that forget with the playermodel, but they won't add a chainsaw for heavy because it 'doesn't fit in'.

oops for a moment i forgot this game and it's players were legitimately handicapped my bad
Heavy being completely worthless at melee is still a valid reason for him to not have a chainsaw, if it were to be implemented I can see it applying slowdown to keep the enemy close which would cause all kinds of babby tears.
