I hope matchmaking won't be the same as csgo's

that type of mm is pretty unfun

Do you mean just the tryharding part of it?

pretty much

I'm all for being competitive and trying your best, but berating teammates and the like just doesn't sit well with me

TF2 is generally more light-hearted than that, I wouldn't worry about it. Matchmaking should isolate the cranky minority anyway.

One of my favorite things to do as Pyro is hold my Flame Thrower on Spycicle + Dead Ringer Spies after their knife melts because they expect me to switch weapons and be able to feign, instead after their fire invulnerability period wears off they just catch on fire while feigning and I can easily chase them down without playing the Lost Woods game

Of course this strategy also has an unintended side-effect

Like yeah, using my primary weapon and not falling for the bait is somehow my fault

I love this thing

that's a good flamer name

can I steal it

Absolutely

so to use a flamethrower properly is not using it at all

yea pretty much

people get mad if you kill them with the back burner from the front because you weren't able to get behind them or had the time to ambush them

"If youre gonna use the back burner use it right1!1!"

screw the backburner though
sometimes I swear it gets those crits from behind even is they're like barely on the side of me even.

It's probably the same issue knives suffer from that result in side/front stabs

Because Team Fortress 2 has just the best hit boxes of any Source game ever

A/D strafing is so fun with the backburner because no one suspects it
