with the way matchmaking works in tf2 that was likely a near-empty server and you and a bunch of others got thrown in at the same time so it's understandable

imo competitive play is a true reason to want to win at all loving costs, trying to win, and when they cant because of someone, they rage wishing to murder that player.. otherwise they just accept the defeat....
