So how would you guys feel if Valve gave Soldier the ability to equip a secondary in his primary slot, with a buff to the weapon/item in question

all flamethrowers should do 90% less damage to players who are on fire so that pyros rely on their secondary and melee weapons instead of just w+m1 all the damn time

also to make it so pyro isn't so op

Dude, everyone says axtinguishers and flare guns are annoying

I don't like dieing to a class's primary weapon. Make it awful, so that they have to rely on their secondaries and melee more!

well since the flamethrower has roughly 140 dps and i usually run into them at close range it's a bit hard to survive

if you consistently find yourself coming in close enough range that the flamethrower does max damage you should reevaluate your method of turning corners

Don't complain about the Pyro and suggest having him nerfed:
Pyro is a crowd-control class, and made for offense. It is his job to be strong, just like the Soldier. The hard part about using Pyro is trying to get close enough to the enemy.
"But flare guns!"
Yes, but the projectile can be easily dodged. Even if you get hit, you can still deal more damage with your longer ranged weapons.  One bad class to use against a Pyro is a Scout or Spy. If you use other classes such as Sniper or Heavy, you have the upper hand because you do more damage than a Pyro at a distance.  In a closed map? Use Pyro, too. If you do that, it's a fair match, unless he's a more skilled Pyro. If so, Heavy + Huo Long Heater can easily sweep that Pyro in the Turbine ducts.

TL;DR You probably knew all of this, but still, stop whining. Pyro is just as balanced as any class.
