1 refined is 43 cents
You find one weapon per hour at a limit at 11 per week
It takes 18 hours over the course of two weeks to make $0.43 in TF2
So no you really can't make money off of TF2 unless you use it as a stock market.

you didn't account for idle accounts and hats from drops. but not everyone has idle accounts or gets hats because they aren't lucky
