If the price is inflated, so what? You still have to pay that price. If I'm in Germany in 1923, (where one pound of bread costs 3 billion marks), I'm not going to go up to the storeclerk and say "Dude, this price is way too inflated. How about I pay 1000 marks for this bread instead?". It doesn't matter whether a price is inflated or not, it's still the appropriate value of the item.
