If the winger had increased accuracy, it'd actually be pretty useful
I mean maybe instead of clip size, lower the firing speed and make it a more accurate and more damaging with a long reload speed.
That may as well be the Pretty Boy's Pocket Pistol.
Seriously, the smaller clip is what makes the Winger unique. Also the Winger is a dependent weapon that relies on the minicrit-boost of the Soda Popper to do good damage. With the boost, it does 42 damage per bullet.
Are you perhaps thinking of the Steam Box?
Yes...

really

Sorry, I don't keep up with this topic or reddit or Valve or play the game. :(

Dear Modelers,

Your Soldier hat does not absolutely need to cover his eyes. Seriously.

If your Soldier hat/all-class/multi-class hat when worn on Soldier looks bad because it's leaned down over his eyes, don't be afraid to have him wear it like a normal person.

Lots of love,

Mr. Jelly, Esq.

I still don't understand this logic. The Pistol can be used with the Soda Popper minicrit boost too, and still output more damage overall.

I'm also pretty sure minicrit damage with the Winger is 23-35, not 42. That's what the Wiki says, at least.

Well, I dealt 42 damage once with it. Maybe it was a crit.

you did not do 42 damage with it. mini crits do a max of 35(max), crits do 52, and point blank does 25(max)

52 maybe? That's the crit damage, unless damage spread changes the number that drastically, I dunno.

Frankly I'm tired of "lower one stat, raise another" weapons. I want more unique things like the Loose Cannon and the Rescue Ranger. That update was a step in the right direction.
Like a ricochet revolver or a pepperbox pistol?

Wrangler needs to be nerfed in that the damage shield is too strong, especially proportionally (thanks minisentries)

Isn't that compensated by the fact that the sentry goes down for 3 seconds after use.

yeah but just how many engineers stop using the wrangler?

Many bricks were shat today.

so let's take the cowboy magnum from T+T and put it into TF2. nothing mechanically and statistically changed, just out good ol' cowboy magnum.

would it have to be a heavy primary to be anywhere near balanced?

let's say it has a small but noticable damage ramp-up up close but dealing 50 base damage, something like 70 up close. still the same fire rate + projectile speed. still crit headshots.

could it then be balanced? i had this idea in my for a while now and i love how good the cowboy mag is with good timing and some aim. (actually not just good, but pretty damn powerful)
