I spent so much time buying stuff for my scout, but I'm terrified to play him on multiplayer servers.

kill me

tf2 isn't dota 2

I've been playing on private servers with bots or my friends most of my time on TF2.

And it's not exactly the Scout that I'm afraid to play, I just have this anxiety that if I play a public server on any fps I'll end up performing horribly in front of everyone.

You don't need to worry about performing well, games are meant to have fun when you're playing them. And that is what you need to worry about, not if you're doing well or not.

dude
nobody really cares how good you are unless you're extremely horrible

unless i've or you've been playing on the wrong servers

Oh trust me, I have a lot of fun on the game, but it's just a feeling that has always stuck to me. I've been steadily trying to overcome this by occasionally tagging along with a couple of my friends on servers. Idk, baby steps I guess. :/

If you're decent against bots, you should be decent against pub players

If that's all you ever do your skill ceiling is going to be set just above your most-skilled friend

Nobody cares

Don't take that the wrong way; what I mean is that every single random stranger you play with will go to sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow and forget you ever existed unless you make a huge impression on them

Just go play on a random server and have fun, 99 times out of 100 no one will even say anything to you unless they need your help

so I assume nobody here knows how sourcemod/sourceOP works

that is literally the weirdest fear ive ever heard of ever

no one is gonna call you out on your horrid performance unless you're on a pro-team

Heres something that really made me well jealous of my friend, He got a unusual and its a gentlemans ushanka with dead presidents for the effect. Thus it also is not known what the price of it is yet.

So I was playing on a Payload server and we were on pl_barnblitz, I was on the attacking team and we had made it to the last point

As we were almost there, someone on the defending team complained that we were spawn-camping them, and about half a dozen other people chimed in too agreeing with him

on a Payload map at the last point

Isn't that what you're supposed to do? The last point is literally right outside spawn, you're supposed to lock that area down so your team can push the cart forward

Technically yes, I hate Barnblitz because of that though, it makes it impossible to win without camping the spawn.
