the short circuit, wrangler, every demo/pyro/heavy melee, pistols, sniper secondaries, and spy guns beg to differ aswell

Some doesn't mean all was my point, there's quite a few where the default is useful.

Also I myself hate the using the Wrangler, I like the pistol more as Engie, the Demo melee is purely preference considering there are pretty big downsides for the melees unless you're a Demoknight, also I use Pistol for every class that can use Pistol because it's a great weapon.

Depends on the situation. If your team is taking heavy fire, the quick fix does wonders because of how fast it is, and the uber can heal an entire team to 125% health in no time.

But i can see what you mean. Quick fix uber is a step down from a normal ubercharge, but it gets uber rather fast compared to the Kritz and the stock.

i didn't mean to say unlocks are better than the defualts, but instead are balanced to compete with eachother, with defaults being the most reliable, except for a few slots, like the ones for heavy's melee and secondary weapons.

All classes but spy/scout do 64 damage and 195 on crit every 0.8 seconds. The scout does 35 damage and 105 on crit every 0.5 seconds, and the spy does 40 damage and 120 with a crit every 0.8 seconds. Backstabs, which do 6x the enemy's health, are considered the proper spy-crit, but if you charge him with the kritzkrieg, he can do his 120-damage attack.
