Guys, need a little help with tech-y stuff

I use a Turtlebeach Earforce PX21 USB and Headphones input headset, and whenever I join a tf2 server, it just mutes everyone, the game, and I can't use VC. This is based on chance though, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Anyone mind helping me? I think its a short in the usb or something. Oh, it actually mutes all currently playing audio, causing YT vids to crash.

the shotgun itself? yeah it was a reskin I used a while ago, but the botkiller heads are just glitched because of my botkiller scattergun so they have its botkiller head for some reason.
