Guys if you look in the spawns on one of the cp maps for the gun mettle update you'll find these strange grey blocks sitting in the corner of both spawns in sets of four.

It actually mentions them on the wiki in trivia section

posted on reddit for that sweet sweet karma

Those strange blocks appear in the moon maps chasm

I'm just gonna paste this from the TF2 wiki

In both team's bases, there are multiple references to outer space in the Team Fortress 2 universe.
  • Behind both team's spawns is a room filled with rockets similar to the one used on the map Doomsday. [link]
  • To the side of the rocket room is a metallic room with a lone spherical chair similar to the aesthetics of Asteroid. [link]
  • At the center of each base is a closed launch pad with a rocket inside prepped for launch, and above a partly opened roof shutter. [link]
  • In each team's spawn rooms, there are cubes of some unknown metallic ore, similar to those seen on Asteroid, next to the trash cans. [link]
In the control room near the team oriented control point is a computer terminal and bulletin board with several references. [link] [link]
  • On the terminal, there is a launch sequence code "111....1". This is a code said by Soldier in Meet the Spy.
  • On both the terminal and the bulletin board, there are references to Poopy Joe.
  • The bulletin board has a newspaper referencing the Apollo 11 Moon landing.
  • The terminal says "Capacity: Lolololol", referencing "Copyright Lolololol", a phrase commonly seen on the title cards of the Meet the Team videos.
The bulletin board also has a U.F.O. on it, which is pretty typical space stuff, but it could also give Valve more of a reason to accept the community-made 'Team Fortress 2 Invasion' content seeing as it has U.F.O.s and many space themed items and weapons

Honestly putting an anime decal on a weapon / item looks really awkward if you ask me.

i honestly don't care because people aren't gonna spend time staring at it while the point's being captured

tbh people only really look at it during downtime (setup) or on trade/achievement servers

so I'm like half-asleep and I went battle medic with a killstreak blutsauger and got 8 kills in a row in quick succession plus got top of the scoreboard on red (no pics tho so you'll have to take my word for it)

edit: wait nvm I do have a scoreboard

(all the healing was the blutsauger on me)
(also this was taken a bit before I started killing a lot better)
