summer is coming up so that means I can finally make time for tf2 again

is this game still alive?

Yes

Team Fortress 2 is dying!!!

overwatch sucks though

Real talk: TF2 isn't dying if it's still one of the top games played on Steam (it's as simple to verify as steamcharts.com), and contrariwise, Overwatch isn't a TF2 clone and is pretty good on its own.

I know I haven't played Overwatch myself but my bigger brother has it and I watched him play.

valve is ignoring TF2 to a point where it's just dying slowly due to lack of updates and transparency (sounds like another game everyone on this forum likes, no?)

The devs were playing TF2 recently, so they're probably play testing the jungle stuff

The TF2 team isn't purposefully ignoring TF2. The reason why updates take a long time to be made is because their programming team is really small and not as big as it used to be. I can't remember how many programmers they have but it's under 10. This isn't their whole team though as they still have sound engineers, model designers, etc.

yeah I do admit that last post was little pessimistic. but I think valve could do with a little bit more transparency, like telling us progress, plans for the game, etc. It would help the playerbase stay active instead of just getting frustrated and walking away from the game.
have you opened steam at all
and yeah, I have. I'm talking major updates.
