Author Topic: Gamemode suggestion: Build to escape rising lava  (Read 1263 times)

Pretty simple, you have two teams. The arena would be a big volcano which you have to climb up. Players are given a 2 second head start. You can only build with either 2x2x1f bricks, 4x4x1f bricks, 1x1x1 bricks or 2x2x1 bricks.

Basically building takes points. You gain a point for your team by surviving for one second. If you die, you stay dead until the round is over. At the top of the build, there's a point where you have to touch in order to win the round.

You have to build to avoid dying via lava, and you have to build to escalate the volcano. You would also be armed with the pushbroom to push off enemy players.

Also, if possible, you could make it so one, bricks that aren't owned by your team cause damage to you when you stand on it, and two, you can destroy enemy bricks by clicking them.

Oh my god this would be SO FUN

But you could just pillar up with 1x1's...

This won't work out.
There will be 15 blockheads spamming plates at the start your team runs out of points and dies.
And yes, that WILL happen.

Every single damn gamemode can be ruined by idiots. You can just kick them, or make workarounds (you can only build so many bricks in so many seconds).

That's the whole point of moderation, is it not?

Maybe there can be a every player take a turn placing a brick

How about only a brick placed per second, and it also randomizes the brick you place. Higher chance of getting smaller bricks compared to larger ones.

I don't know about the idea of teams. I think it'd be a lot easier if you were going solo so you could use your points how you want to

That does sound like a better idea teams does sound dumb

just had a few ideas:
1. If you got points what if your brick size would increase in height and width.
2. Maybe it should be once your first brick is placed it has to touch that brick.
