Author Topic: Gamemode: Treasure Defender  (Read 2312 times)

Just something that I'd like to see done well. I would make it if I could.

• 4 player cooperative.
   -Everyone else spectates.
• Defend treasure against waves of bot attacks that start at dawn and last until dusk.
   -Game ends when; treasure is depleted, all 4 defenders perish, or after 7 days.
   -New game randomly selects 4 new defenders from spectators.
• At dusk each surviving player is awarded 25 points to spend on bricks for building defenses.
   -Killing attackers also rewards points
• Static Environment
   -Only defender-placed bricks and the treasure can be destroyed
• Attackers include:
   -Blockhead (Breaks treasure with hands)
   -Deconstructor (Uses a hammer to break multiple bricks)
   -Archer (Targets only players with a bow)
   -Knight (Targest only players with sword/shield, with higher health)
   -Wizard (Uses a wand to break many bricks and tumble players)
   -Giant (Basically a large blockhead with a lot of health and very high damage)
• Defense bricks include:
   -mud pit (Slows movement)
   -fire pits (Damage while touching)
   -pirate cannon spawn (Expensive to place)
   -Normal bricks for building walls.
• Defender Weapons:
   -Hammer (Break bricks and use as melee)
   -Bow (Weaker ranged combat)
   -Healing Wand (Heal other defenders but not self)
• Endless Mode:
   -Game will only end when treasure is depleted.
   -When a defender dies they are replaced with a new one randomly selected from spectator team.
   -After 7 days attackers get health and damage increases each day.
   -Eventually attackers will also attack at night.

The pirate cannon is strong and shouldn't be available right on the get-go. It would be better if it cost something like 100 points to place, rather than only 1. The fire pit should also probably cost something like 20 points, the mud pit 10 points, and then regular wall-building bricks would be 1 point each.

does the defenders have a limit on Special bricks, do they share points, can you earn points?

They don't share points, everyone gets their own to build with. So they must coordinate witch each other in chat.

There probably should be a limit on at least the cannon spawns, perhaps only 4 working cannons at once.

I started working on this with my friend its turning out great.
