Planetary Annihilation - We got ALL the stretch goals!

Well I guess space navies would be useful for blockading planets and creating a landing zone for your army to be dropped off onto the planet. I just don't want the game to boil down into who has the biggest space navy which would defeat the purpose of having ground forces.

Its been said SEVERAL times that you wont have spaceship battles, everything is planet/asteroid based. Need to travel? Take an asteroid.

But yeah, I really like how the technology in this game is so compact, everything fits together and is deployed perfectly.

I wonder what we could do with gas giants. They've supposedly got a small planet-sized rocky center, and I doubt a game like this would need fuel for ships, so what would we do with them?
