Today, it is my sad duty to announce that the
LEGO 10219 Maersk Train from
BLW is now decommissioned in favor of a larger, Blockhead-scale version of the same locomotive.
10219 Maersk served us well and was a hard worker, never refusing any train it pulled - whether it be automobiles, oil, or coal, it was dependable and answered the call with no questions asked.
I never intended its service life to end so early, but time and locomotive designs move on.
Good night, sweet prince.
The derelict, sun-roasted, rusted-up hull of 10219 Maersk takes its final journey, to feel the sting of the scrapper's torch. ~
