But in that case, someone with a lot of alts could create enough left over power to perpetually keep land claimed.

No, you're fixated on a petty grudge enough to go out of your way to ruin other people's fun, and you love yourself too much to drop it and move on.

The point of faction servers is to kill and avoid being killed. Every single notable faction server allows this deliberately, so extreme PVP is encouraged.

If you don't find this fun, you shouldn't be playing on faction servers. I am very very very good at cracking bases but there are people who are almost as good. You're going to get destroyed fast if you build your base thinking people will never find it.

Like I said before, if you dislike the extreme pvp/griefing encouraged style of Minecraft, play a towny server
