Zero is an indeterminate form, it's just nothing. It's a lack thereof a number.
It's like saying pure black is a color. It isn't, it's nothing. You can only tell it is there because of it's surroundings. It can't be seen.

If that is your logic, explain to me negative numbers.

If that is your logic, explain to me negative numbers.
Negative numbers are numbers with a negative value, why do I have to explain this? Negative numbers can still be divisible.

Then zero would be a number without a value.

Correct. Zero is just a placeholder in most cases. It is the essence of nothingness.

It has no value.

Zero isn't a part of this equation.

Which is what I'm saying. Why are you quoting yourself? Am I wrong?

I don't get it, are you trying to tell me zero doesn't exist? I know it has no value.

I may be misreading.

I don't even know why I quoted that, actually.
I'm going to go to bed.

Zero exists, it just isn't a number. It's a placeholder symbol to show that there is no number. It can show value, but it has no value.

You need more maths in your brain.

I don't get it, are you trying to tell me zero doesn't exist? I know it has no value.

I may be misreading.
It does exist, it's just used to indicate nothing. 1,001, for example, is just one-thousand one, but in digit form, you have to see that it's actually one-thousand one, or else you just see 11.

I think that's what both weaver and I are saying.

Okay, I thought you were attempting to claim zero didn't exist.

If zero didn't exist, we couldn't use binary!

1, 10, 11, 100, 101, 110, 111, 1000, 1001, 1010, 1100, 1101

God I love it.

Okay, I thought you were attempting to claim zero didn't exist.
It exists only as a lack of a number, or a placeholder. It's something that is there, but doesn't actually exist. Every fabric of this universe's existence has some sort of physical value, except zero. Zero is the space in between.

Zero has no value in that it represents nothing.

EDIT: My wording was unclear. It represents the lack of anything, I guess.

Zero represents no value.

edit: I see it now
