So, today in Biology the topic of Marijuana being legalized in the USA came up. I was prepared for the typical, Potheads versus Everyone, but it was actually an intelligent debate. I threw in a few of my beliefs on the subject, but I was more interested in what my peers actually had to say about it, I don't know if they all just suddenly matured before my very eyes, but I wish they were like this more often.
Anyways, my question is what do you guys think?
I think both sides have good points, and I don't really stand on either side, I'm more of a "If it happens, it does" kind of person on this topic.
I will list the pro's and con's here on the OP
Pros:
- Taxation on Marijuana would produce national revenue
[0]Saving taxpayers money because of less people being convicted
- Can be used for industrial purposes
Cons
- People in society under the influence
[0]Second-hand smoke being passed to bystanders
Since I can make a first post this time, if you are going to argue with clinical results of marijuana consumption, cite sources.
Use this to find appropriate studies.
