Yeah I'm saying we don't have hindsight, so we can never truly know the effects of making it legal without trying. I'm not saying that it means we should or should not make it legal, I'm just saying that even if something seems harmless it may not be. People were smoking tobacco for what, decades, before we figured out it caused cancer.

I think it's as a result of education. I haven't looked up the prevalence of teenage smoking right now, but just from personal experience I don't know anyone who smokes cigarettes.

Which are all totally true. You begin damaging your lungs permanently as soon as you begin smoking. This is not a byproduct unique to tobacco, this happens with marijuana too. The whole, "this is your brain on marijuana" PSAs are dumb though.

Even if it is not legalized for smoking it should be legalized for industrial use. Take our jobs back from Canada and let us farm weed to make rope, clothes, homes, fuel, and food. There are many things hemp can be used for other than smoking.

what is the problem with your clothes now? is there something about hemp that is better than every other fabric? same goes for all that other stuff. unless you can prove that it is something a lot better to be used for rope/clothes and other stuff for whatever reason, it probably won't happen.
