Author Topic: Marijuana Legalization  (Read 8301 times)

My point applied to marijuana. It just applied to cigarette smoke, as well. Anyway, the point I should have made, is that I'm not saying the smell is harmful. I was saying that because you can still smell it, you know it's still there. It's there whether the plant itself smells or not. It's there whether the smoke smells or not. I was trying to come up with a way to tell you that, since I doubt you'd accept studies about it.

This is becoming more confusing than it should be. Of course when you smell something you know it's there. It's part of the 5 basic senses! if marijuana was legal why would anyone care if they smelled pot? If they found the smell repulsive then they have the right to leave. Dealing with stuff is a part of life and no one can have it perfect. Sorry, life doesn't work that way.

I'm not saying the smell is the issue. In fact, I said that's not the issue in my third sentence.

If they found the smoke to be annoying then they can leave. If they want to stay they have to deal with the smoke. If they don't like that than too loving bad, life is full of hardships, and quite frankly there are worse things than inhaling pot smoke. For instance, the economy taking a stuff and leaving people broke as forget. What are you going to do? Start a riot? Inform me when this happens.

I don't get why you think a bad situation should be worse.

It's only going to be worse to people like you who hate marijuana for the simple fact of it being illegal when it shouldn't be. Even if it shouldn't be legalized for smoking it should still be legalized industrially. If you think otherwise I would like to know why

I've said many times that I support its legalization. Where are you getting that I hate it?

EDIT: And no, plenty of people don't want to have to inhale smoke. Because it's unhealthy. And if you bring up coal, I quit.

I guess I didn't take the time to read older pages on the thread before I started posting, but from what I gathered you stated that pot harms people, when smoking it does (although not not proven) but eating it will not, while still maintaining a high.

It seems you just have a problem with people being baked

No, I've said many times that I think the smoke itself is harmful, but no more harmful than that of a forest fire. I don't want to breathe in smoke from a forest fire. I don't want to breathe in smoke because you feel like getting blazed. I've also said that I support people being allowed to smoke in private areas. As in, getting baked at a bar, or in your house, or with a friend at his house. I just think all kinds of smoking needs to be in private. I don't care if you eat pot brownies at the park, or wh'ever, though.

I support marijuana legalization.
I do too. Synthetic marijuana is Legal but one spec of it is twice as strong as one cigarette full of natural, and natural actually IMPROVES your brain when being used theoretically. Makes you more creative and focused. Synthetic kills you ten times faster; but somehow its legal and natural isnt.

Ok that brings me to say thank you.
I understand you don't want to inhale smoke because it's bad for you. I will let you try my pot brownies if we ever meet in person as I find myself to be a goof chef. I made some damn good chili earlier. Smoking is a bad habit and eating pot should be more common but it isn't, sadly.

It's no fun if you get permission >:C

I'm tired of having my tax dollars spent on imprisoning people who are put in there for a little bit of possession. Economically, legalizing marijuana would be a boost in my opinion. Morally, there would still be many families who disagree on the usage of it.

If you're going for which is overall going to help the MOST, I'd say legalizing it would because the economy affects far more people's lives. Help the country, or help out a small group of people?

I'd say help the country.

Should be legal, I don't know why it was illegal in the first place.

Cons
  • People in society under the influence
  • [0]Second-hand smoke being passed to bystanders
Con: it's a loving neurotoxin

even if it is a comparatively weak one

Lobby groups wanting it to be so they can sell more over-the-counter drugs.
