my parents do this too. it's not overreacting, you should thank them because they're the reason you're going to have a future. that is, if you actually do your homework and don't act like high school is the hardest thing ever.

i don't let my parents help with my schoolwork. why?

>tell parents about assignment, work on it a bit all week

>day before its due tidy it up and finalise it when suddenly parent comes in and yells at me for leaving it to the last minute for about 20 minutes

>5 minutes later other parent comes in and yells at me and threatens to pull me out of school because i am a disgrace

>usually slams door then comes back in and yells at me for having ADHD and says my life is doomed to go down the drain

>other parent comes in and apologises then runs off to bed

this usually happens in total for about 50 minutes of distractions.
