The game works fine but there's one problem
there's a white line going from corner to corner of my screen wat do

i already had full revolver ammo, so i shot him so i could accept his gift

The game's been working perfectly for me.  It's only crashed twice, and that was easily fixed by pausing and reloading the last autosave.

I only crashed once when I noclipped to get past the claw tentacle thing because I suck richards at getting past it and I didn't feel like re-living my experience in both HL1 and HL1:S where I died a hundred times to it, something about vertices and having too many of them

It happened to me around there too, but I wasn't no-clipping.  It's just when I passed from one area to another.  Everything went black, and then white, and then I took massive damage, and then it went black again, so I paused and loaded an autosave, and it fixed it.  Also, I got past the tentacles without cheating like a boss.

That's really strange.  It brings to mind a strange glitch from one of the Silent Hill games.  I really have no idea how to help you, but I think this should be addressed by someone who does.
