For awhile game runs flawless, then usages get restrained to ~50%

Author Topic: For awhile game runs flawless, then usages get restrained to ~50%  (Read 489 times)

Sometimes (mostly) when I start the game, I can get 90 FPS on the same map/view. But this has made me frustrated for awhile:
After playing for a undefined amount of time, I get a massive FPS loss, when looking at the usages, neither one of GPU or CPU is used 100%, or even more than 50% in some cases.

Apparently getting this error in Blockland "trades" it with other games too, no other game is capable of getting me as much FPS as before.
The effect is one way. I can play any game for hours and the FPS never fails, and Blockland runs as normal as before (that is up to the point where this happens).

I understand Torque is a old engine, that can't necessarily squeeze my GPU/CPU to death, but that does not really explain to me why the grand FPS loss, that is also traded thorough other games after it happens.

Help much appreciated, this is frustrating.

Additionally: In the image top-to-bottom numbers on the right:
GPU Core Clock
GPU Memory Clock
GPU Shader Clock
GPU Temperature
Fan Speed (%)
Fan Speed (RPM)
Memory Used
GPU Load
Memory Controller Load
Video Engine Load
VDDC

After leaving the game alone for 1 hour:

Notice how GPU Load is now 98% and the FPS is trice as big.

so your blockland goes from 34fps to 89fps  ...  and your complaining?

To me that sounds like a good thing.
