Steam is barely DRM and it isn't stupid.

Steam constantly breaks itself and requires clients to fix it. It's nice and stuff, but it's certainly not optimal.

Seriously though I decided to launch Assassin's Creed and it hit me in the face with "HAHA NO YOU NEED TO REGISTER TO UPLAY forgetASS" and then I just task-managered it and never touched it again.
