If anyone has ever heard of the
Madness video series, or played
Madness Interactive and modifications people have made of it, you will love this new game.
Madness: Project Nexus is a Madness Combat game. It was also unofficially referred to as 'Madness Interactive 2' by Krinkels. It was released on March 25th, 2012. The current version is V1.7, last updated May 30th, 2012.
The development team is as follows-
Krinkels did art duties and design.
The-Swain programmed all features and groundwork for the combat system from scratch.
Cheshyre provided most of the soundtrack, Devin Martin provided the track Killbot and its remix.
Luis designed the UI and menu system
Afro-Ninja and Mike provided code support at various times.
The game focuses on an episode-based gameplay, with different characters to play as, along with an arena mode where you can create your own character and upgrade your gear and weapons. New stages and episodes will be released in future updates. There will be 3 Episodes in total, with an appearance from the entire Madness Combat cast.
The game is sponsored by Newgrounds.com.
Instead of just the same old thing with all the Madness mods, this is a brand new game, and is created by the creators of the original Madness game themselves. Packed with a bunch of fitting and new weapons and a new ammo system (these weapons can range in color and attachments, and these can change stats)
This game comes with a short campaign, though it will hopefully have more added as promised and also includes a new arena mode, which throws harder enemies at you as you progress through waves. As you gain experience, you will level up, and you will gain points to spend on upgrades. You can hire mercenaries to help you out, and change their load out as well. As you play arena more, more guns and melee, even armor (hats, masks, etc) will be available for purchase. Once your player reaches level 30, you can unlock zombie mode. Oh, and I forgot to say, there are some new features, such as being able to hit people with your gun when you're close enough automatically, doing cool flips/blocks, and there is also an improved bullet time mode than what was in the original Madness Interactive.
tl;dr cool game here's link: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/592473It is recommended that you turn settings all the way down, as this game lags quite a bit on older machines.
