don't feel like doing the math, but if we could repair our hull to full, then sell two shrapnel cannons, then buy two photon cannons. then refill ammo.

idk just throwing it out there

First of all repair everything. Then decide on what else to buy.

This, also hire more mercs. I recall three characters submitted lately.

ok i calculated stuff

do full repairs, sell all magnetic shields (3) and buy reactive shields (3), refill ammo, sell the shrapnel cannon in storage and one more that you have mounted, and buy and mount a photon cannon

that should leave us with $319, now go visit the nearest pub WITH BIG RED OR TIPPY

Also, Sedric does not do mercenary work.

So he just sits on the ship looking for deals? Or does he just sit in a shop at the port?

sucks for him, we're mercenaries
turn him in for the bounty and use it to buy more guns

Ins't Tippy a criminal as well?

I don't think so, but even if she is at least she does mercenary work, and is therefore useful to keep around. It outright says in Sedric's bio how traitorous and untrustworthy he is. You'd be stupid to take someone like that on board, he's just in it for the money and he won't even help you fight. Turn him into Querian authorities as a show of good faith, maybe they'll have other missions for you. After all, we are privateers, we don't need to stick to working for just one faction.

Hmm...

Yeah he probably secretly have us arranged to be sold to some slavers or something.

That doesn't mean that he can't fight.  He'll do things in unorthodox ways, so victims are usually taken by surprise.  On numerous occasions, he has eluded capture.  Either way you put it, Sedric will be loyal if paid enough, in exchange for some of his personal goodies.  He has worked with people for years at a time before, given that they pay him.  If promised a chance to strike against the Iconians safely, he will take it at a much lower price.  The reason why is a family issue- one which he tells not a soul.*  If payment doesn't come, he will pack his things up and leave without warning; He has business elsewhere.  Though unorthodox in his methods of fighting, shipping and installation, he will play by-the-book when it comes to business, and will guarantee the safety of the customer in the process.  He will not attack anyone unless paid to do so, or if it's any Iconians that he could afford to pick a fight with.

Essentially, he is the cross between Han Solo and an Arab Trader.
And if you happen to stumble upon him, you will have an opportunity to get some quality black market weapons.  Rumors say that he possesses antimatter.

*(Hinthint:  The Querian betrayal and the Iconian massacre are related)

Hit the town! Buy strippers with whatever money we have left! Have fun!

Nobody else on the crew demands to be paid. True, they probably are given some sort of wages, but their loyalty does not depend on their paycheck. Sedric is a two-bit traitor who would jump ship the moment someone shows up with a bigger sack of money.

Also, Sedric does not do mercenary work.
um
idk could be wrong but isnt the only point of making characters the fact you can hire them?

Not every character has to be crew.
