Bring robot Ulris back.

You're on the way to buy things for the ship when someone standing by a bounty board calls out to you in a hallway.

: Hey, guy with the hat!
: Me?
: Yeah, you. You look like someone important. Are you?
: I command a small pirate frigate. Why?
: Perfect. I have a bounty offer for you.
: What makes you think I'm interested?
: How about $3500?
: That's a lot. Go on.
: So I'm working for the Querian government, and the-
: Did you just say "Queerian"?
: No, it's Queh-ree-an. Anyways, there's this traitor who we're trying to bring down here. He's a dangerous gun vendor and a threat to our Empire.
: Sounds like my kind of guy.
: Doesn't $3500 sound better?
: What's his name and where can I find him?
: His name is Sedric O'Dell, and he mainly operates in the sectors adjacent to this starbase.
: His ship is a freighter, so it shouldn't be too hard for your "small pirate frigate".

So do you want to accept this guy's offer?

Do it so we can buy bionics for Ulris.
Ulris is covered, he just wont be available the next mission(hunting this guy down if you choose to do so)

He even sold Tippy some of her grenades.
Only some. Tippy believes primarily in homebrew. And since it's only natural that she bought some from him, she might know his last whereabouts

Any status on the missing artifact?

purchase the stuff i said earlier, accept the offer, then go hunt down the frigate

however, focus on capturing the guy himself, and try not to kill him; if we get him alive we could force a higher bounty out of him for his freedom, or add him to our "crew" by recruiting him as a partner ship, or both, if we're lucky.

and if we choose the latter we could stage turning in the guy to get the bounty, then bust him out.

in the future will there be other ships available for purchasing?

Not worth it.
not until we get more people in our mercenary group

Um, numbers don't matter.

It's the fact that everyone is after it and it's not important to us anyways.

Accept the contract, we could probably try and rescue him after we get the money.

The question is can Tippy speak?

Official archaeologist and biologist of one of the leading universities on Aurora, as planet in the Tau Ceti system, since the shattering he has diverted his attention to the study of eldritch artifacts and horrors alongside his study of alien races. Rumors about his mental and emotion stability and his questionable study ethics have been raised, while there are similar rumors accusing him of being a xenophobe or a murderer. However, no evidence has been found to support any of these rumors to this date.

For some odd reason he prefers to use an outdated flare gun as his main weapon.

Does "does most things in the most unorthodox way as possible" mean anything to you?

The only regular locations he visits are those who pay well for constant service.
