except for the part where we get cut off from our shuttle and are trapped onboard.

i say take delerict, because 1) you're guaranteed an ally (doesn't he need to come along to make sure he gets his fair share?) and 2) if things go to stuff you can just blast the delerict ship to pieces and loot the remains. May not be as big of a payoff but at least we get something.

Ship.

go to the derelict ship

All you need is Tippy to disarm traps, Big Red to cut down locked doors, Ulris for close quarters, John/Jona to spray bullets down hallways to surpress people, and Gordan to hack any machines for information and making short cuts.
*cough* Cardalonian ships aren't exactly known to be easy. *cough*

Perhaps you should take on the disappearance missions instead.

What's the worst that can happen? Swarmed by insectoid aliens? Ask the crew what they think is best.

i say take delerict, because 1) you're guaranteed an ally (doesn't he need to come along to make sure he gets his fair share?) (You're missing the fact that it is a Caradalonian ship- as in owned by a government.  By taking this mission, you may be walking on thin ice as far as far as interstellar politics.  The ship may be labeled as "derelict," but it could easily be a trap by the Caradalonian government or a third party- if any, to turn the tables on you and loot you.)and 2) if things go to stuff you can just blast the delerict ship to pieces and loot the remains. May not be as big of a payoff but at least we get something.  If you see my previous note, there would therefore be reason to believe that a formidable force would be present to make looting or destroying anyone simple.  There's too much at risk here.  The party that posted the mission can not be taken for granted, and, if they found the location of it, there are still several questions to ask.

1)  Why haven't they already made silent efforts to retrieve the loot and just get all of it to themselves?
2)  There wil be more parties competing for this loot.  There is no guaranteed safety even if the party is trustworthy.

Answer some basic questions too:

1)  Can the report be taken with doubt?  Yes.
2)  Could there be more parties that can be present to interfere?  Yes.
3)  Does the party have any affiliation with any shady business; Do they remain anonymous?  Uncertain; Yes.
4)  Do we know accurately what assets they have; What is the likelyhood that these will be present and friendly in nature?  No; Uncertain.
5)  Could the party have anything to gain from turning on you?  Yes.
6)  Will the loot in its entirety or at all be present by the time that you reach the site?  Uncertain.

Maybe the captain should look through a database and look up "Cardalonian".

What if stolen goods and derelict ship are connected?

i think we can answer everyone's doubts about this mission with yolo

go to the derelict ship
everyone loves abandoned stuff

ok so where did anyone ever say caradalonian ships means that its "owned" by the caradalonians

we're "solar empire" ships but we're not owned by the solar empire. and i'm pretty sure we can judge how good our ally is by talking to him before taking the mission.

i do agree with you on the possibility of multiple people vying for the ship but i personally think that's going to be beneficial as they can kill off each other. and there's nothing saying we have to stay and fight, if it comes to that.

There are probably millions of derelict ships and space hulks out there. I doubt any one will care.

Who cares if we get ambushed it'd still be worth it.

-snip-
That is true.  I would highly advise talking with the client before taking the mission.

so
page 200 is on its way

i suggest we fill up this page to 15 posts (this is the 14th) and letting Tingalz take the 200'th as an update.
