i have HDMI running to the big tv in the other room, is that how this works? i can already play PC games using a controller from there.

This sounds like something that would turn Steam into the bad direction...
You can't turn into the bad direction if you're already going straight in that direction.

What's Valve doing wrong?

Well the browser is fast to load but as I type this with my keyboard there is quite a bit of a delay.
It feels beta like but besides that it's seems nice, also it's nice someone used the flower idea for typing.

Edit: Oh and for some reason everything is really crisp and better looking in this browser compared to my regular browser I don't know why.
