This is so true.  The game is pretty much just jam packed with useless stuff now.  The combat and difficulties are still loving jokes and they have jumped to "pure SMP" coding prematurely.  The game runs like garbage in 1.2.5 for me now.  The building system isn't bad however, it's basic and it allows for anythings.  Like Seventh just said too, "graphical concept" would be more like actual concept art not the game graphics itself.
