Just 1%? Wow... That must change.
By the way, will the Steam Greenlight stay forever or will it end soon?
It'll be up until the author decides to remove it.

Yogscast I got. My Friend on Skype is related to Simon.
Diggy Diggy Hole
If there was one video-game-playing/reviewing YouTube team I wouldn't want to cover Blockland, it would be the Yogscast.

They're too impatient and not at all good with any games. There's no denying how stuff they are at playing even simple games. And then they're happy to throw in negative comments. Which is allowed in reviews, but sometimes their's are over the top or unfounded.

And their fanbase are, as with all large fanbases with lots of younger members, rather rash and stupid.
It would only take the Yogscast to say "It's Minecraftey" or "It's too slow/boring", for a thousand people to just go and comment as such on every Blockland related thing they could find, whether that's YouTube videos or Steam Greenlight.

I like the Yogscast and their Minecraft videos, and sometimes their videos on other things too. But the Yogscast, particularly Simon and Lewis, just do not have the right mind-set (Atleast when playing games for videos) to actually play Blockland.
If you're gonna show everything off about Blockland, you need to show building and eventing. And everyone knows that that takes time and a level of patience that the Yogscast don't show.
Otherwise they would just do a video of them server-hopping. And at that point it all depends on what they find for how they review the game.

This could also be quite true of a number of other YouTube game reviewers. If you're wanting to make a video showing an exciting and fun game on a 20~ minute video, then your best bet is something that's quick and super-easy to start in, like an FPS or RPG or RTS, where everything is done for you. Blockland doesn't give you a completely full game when you start, since it's an actual sandbox game. Instead it gives you the tools to do whatever you want.
And most people don't want to watch 20 minutes of someone building small things and then doing little else in that time with it. Some do, but not the hordes of younger children who watch people like the Yogscast. They're just there for a short interesting video with a lot of comedy. They don't like waiting around.

i'd hate yogcast to do a lets play on blockland
cant stand them..

How about Nerd3? His indie game videos get around a good over ~150,000 views, and he's definitely got the patience and skill to build and showcase Blockland well. He uploads a video around every day so if we're vocal about it he might consider doing a let's play. He's got a huge list of Minecraft videos which is literally almost full of him just building, so he's pretty good at making such a thing appeal to people.

He called me fat.

I've been subscribed to him for a good amount of time now, and I already sent a mail to him asking him to try out Blockland. Sent the mail right after S&S came.

I think he ignored it because he haven't answered yet.

Lets all spam him to play Blockland.

inb4 Roblox applies for Greenlight
How would that even work?
It wouldn't.
And they don't need to anyway.

It'd basically be the same as YoYoGames applying for Greenlight.

It would be like if YouTube applied to greenlight. They don't need it, they can't do it.

Also isn't it more meant for indie games?

I rly like the way but i think why should i messed up the part?

ah good it looks like it was removed from games like minecraft.
