Why do people ask this. It's just a release and integration with steam, why would addons break? Use common sense people, FFS.

Really can't do something like hats the way TF2 does it without a centralized server; servers could freely give hats to people, even if they'd only work on that server

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to tell old people from new ones.
Because we definitely don't have something like this already in place (ID system)

Eski needs to make that new trailer now.


There was never an option to just add your game to steam, till Greenlight.

Greenlight IS that option to add your game to steam, but the community has to agree.

2. The developer brought the game to Steam's attention and they decided that it would be good enough to go on Steam.

Even through steamworks, you can't just fill in some form saying 'this is my game' and bam it pops up for everyone to see.
