So wait, would a default Steam Overlay allow voice chatting over Blockland, since it runs Steam along with it.  I'd love to use the V to voice chat feature with Blockland.

Its just another way to buy Blockland, you can launch it with steam to get the steam overlay, but you can just launch it normally if you buy it through steam as its an alternative way to buy.

As in if you don't want to buy it through the site.

No, it seriously won't happen.  It has been suggested before NUMEROUS TIMES.  It really isn't loving supported by the game engine we use and we are not upgrading the engine.

If we had RTB though it would be confusing because RTB uses the Shift + Tab function, the exact same as the steam overlay.

Yeah, but you can change the hot key combination for the Steam Overlay, and you can do the same for RTB.

You can make modifications to the engine completely without having to rewrite any actual game code; upgrading the engine is not necessary.
The brick system (including physics, shadows, etc.) and shaders weren't supported by the game engine either. What happened there?
